Meet Craig, the Man Behind McCreary Workshop

Craig founded McCreary Workshop in 2009, bringing over 30 years' experience as a mechanic to riders across the Wairarapa. His connection to motorcycles goes back to his teenage years racing motocross, and he's continued competing as an adult at tracks all around New Zealand.

After spending four years living overseas, Craig moved back home to South Wairarapa and set about giving something back to the local riding community — this led to the development of Hairy Hills, the region's dedicated motocross track. It's a project close to his heart, born out of his own love of the sport and a desire to give local riders a place to train and compete.

Craig has also passed his passion on at home, teaching his own kids to ride. For him, motorcycling has always been about more than the workshop — it's a family and community pursuit, and that's the spirit he brings to every job at McCreary Workshop.
